‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham’ titled movie with Pawan Kalyan

Dil Raju, who has distributed Pawan Kalyan’sGabbar Singh in nizam area, is now planning to produce a movie with him in 2013.
The tentative title for this project is ‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham’.
One song in Gabbar Singh was a superhit, which begins with same line as above.
Dil Raju has registered this title and has been trying for pawan’s dates.
Right now, Pawan has committed only to puri jagan’s cameraman ganga tho rambabu, which starts regular shooting from 15 june and releases on 18 october.

These days, script writers are of the opinion that there are no stories for a film with a single hero. But director Paruchuri Murali has prepared a subject with three heroes. Another important point to note is that a hero playing dual roles is an uncommon feature these days. But Balakrishna has dared to play triple roles in this film, depicting three generations as grandfather, father and son. Will this experiment reap fruit? 

Story :

Balakrishna portrays three characters in this movie – Harischandra Prasad (old man) , Rama Krishna Prasad (bearded man) and Bobby (younger Balayya). Harischandra Prasad is a powerful leader from Rayalaseema and he has the love of the people. In order to provide employment to the people of the area, Harischandra Prasad plans to bring in a major steel plant with the help of foreign investors. This is resented by powerful rival factionists Ramappa (Pradeep Rawat) and Kota Srinivasa Rao. So they hatch a plan to finish off Harischandra Prasad. Coming to know about this, Rama Krishna Prasad thwarts the plans of the villains and tries his best to follow his father’s footsteps.

But in a cruel twist, the villains strike at the heart of the family by manipulating Bobby. How do they do it? What is the twist? And will the family succeed in its attempt to empower the Rayalaseema region? That forms the story.

Technical: T Surender Reddy's cinematography is unimpressive. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has failed to use his scissors as the film has many unnnecessary tear jerks at many places. Dialogues are good in parts and the dialogues of the grandfather and father’s roles have lot of punch. Kalyani Mallick has failed in giving good tunes to the songs, but he has put a good show in re-recording. His background score elevates many scenes in the film. 

Paruchuri Murali could be given full marks for elevating the hero’s image in all three characters. But he could not show the same work when it comes to the subject. He has ignored certain departments like use of wigs of the father’s role and his beard as they look in different shapes in different takes. The action scenes are okay and the songs also appear good on the screen. Though he loses grip on the story on many occasions, he is able to regain it immediately. It is like a learner riding on a mad horse.

Plus Points :

• Balakrishna’s Performance
• Brahmanandam’s Comedy
• Picturization of Songs
• The crucial twist in the story is good

Minus Points :

• Too many offensive Dialogues
• Predictable Screenplay
• On a whole music and background score made the film tasteless.
• It is a Balayya-mark film and would definitely attract his fans. No doubt, the film would go well with the mass audiences. Hence it will be a commercial success. Watch the film for masala entertainment, but not for a decent view.
• Balayyaa costumes
• Care should have been taken with respect to the wigs and costumes of a big hero like Balakrishna and the Director is completely at fault here.
• The characterization of villains is quite poor
• Venu Madhav and Murali Sharma are wasted in silly roles.

Eega finally gets release date!

Ace director S.S. Rajamouli has finally cheered the fans eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming techno graphical extravaganza Eega (Naan Ee in Tamil). The director announced on Twitter that the film would be released on June 8.

Earlier, Rajamouli had made similar announcement that Eegawould grace the screens on May 30 and apologised to his fans for not been able to release it on the promised date due to the delay in the CG works.

Recently, the Tamil edition of the film bagged a whopping Rs. 3.35 crores in satellite rights by Sun TV. This marked a new record and the highest price for any satellite rights of a film made by a Telugu director. Naan Ee's Tamil distribution rights were sold to PVP Cinema for Rs. 5 crores.

Dil Raju is producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. If the reports are to be believed most of the movie will be shot in Brazil and Australia.  The shooting of the movie was launched on December 9, 2011 grandly.

Allu Arjun will be seen in special role in the movie. Samantha and Amy Jackson are playing female lead roles in this movie. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for the movie. Vakkantam Vamsi is writing screenplay and Chota K. Naidu will handle the camera.

Jagan in Chanchalguda Jail till June 11!

YSR Congress President Y.S.Jaganmohan Reddy, who was arrested on Sunday, was produced before a CBI court on today in Hyderabad.The CBI Court was remanded him to judicial custody for 14 days in the disproportionate assets case.Now YS Jagan would be shifted to Chanchalguda jail after the court formalities are completed. The CBI court sent the Kadapa MP YS Jagan to judicial custody till June 11.

The court dismissed YS Jagan bail petition and also dismissed the CBI’s petition seeking 14-day judicial custody of the accused.

Judge A Pullaiah, who heard arguments from both sides in the morning, pronounced his order around 4.30 p.m.

Quite recently, we have been seeing the competition intensify between Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu.

Super Star Mahesh had become the highest paid actor after being paid a huge sum of about 8crs and Pawan Kalyan did not take long enough to break this record. According to sources, he was reportedly paid a mind boggling 13.3crs to do Gabbar Singh thereby making the actor the highest paid in Tollywood so far which in fact is cool 6.3crs higher than Mahesh.

Minus Points :

First half totally  Mega Star Chiranjeevi's 'Yamudiki Mogudu' Dinchesadu

Tapsee disappoints in a very insignificant role. She only has a perpetually shocked expression on her face throughout the movie. Her acting skills need polish and she needs to learn to emote.

The film is excessively loud in many places and the length is a tad too long. While Ravi Teja’s pre-interval performance as the Home Minister is good, his performance gets very repetitive in the rest of the film. It is time for him to try something different.

M.S.Narayana is wasted as Chitragupta and his characterization is poor. Same is the case with Sushant Singh. The placement of songs in the film leaves much to be desired, especially in the second half. None of the songs are appealing and they act as speed breakers.

The Yamalokam set and the graphics are atrociously bad and I have not seen such shoddy work in recent times. There is a green mat which acts as the flooring and the visuals give the impression that the actors are standing on uneven ground.

There are many holes in the plot. When your face resembles the face of the Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, will you and the people around you fail to see that? The abrupt change of heart shown by Shayaji Shinde and Avinash is not convincing.

Totally :

Daruvu is a very routine and unexciting offering from Ravi Teja and that is a bigdisappointment, given his considerable talent and incredible energy levels. He tries his best to make the film work but there is not much he can do when there are a host of other issues with the film. Poor graphics,lengthy narration and bad music are glaring problems. There are a few good moments in the film, but the key word here is ‘few’. Watch the movie without any expectations only if you are a Ravi Teja fan.

Exclusive : Salman buys Gabbar Singh scenes for 50Lakhs!

Yes, you read that right. Salman Khan has bought the rights to some scenes from Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ and he has paid Rs. 50 Lakhs for them. The scenes includethe antyakshari episode, the cutout scene featuring Brahmanandam and the Kabaddi scene. These will be incorporated into Salman’s upcoming ‘Dabangg 2′.

This incident shows Salman’s professionalism and the impact Harish Shankar’s scenes on Pawan created at the Box Office. In these days when entire scripts are copied for freemakes, Salman’s gesture is truly commendable. 3 cheers to Salman, Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar.

Salmans And Aamirs Of Tollywood

Experimentation and stardom do not go hand in hand is what our film industry believes. In all the cine industries in India, the thought process and mindset of big stars and their fans are the same and a sole exception to this is perfectionist Aamir Khan. His films are different, thought provoking as well as commercial hits.

Aamir didn’t earn the superstardom with a film or two. It was a continuous process and he is reaping the benefits of the hard work now. Most of the superstars tend to follow the usual track. For example Salman Khan is one of the biggest stars in India today. He is doing formulaic films and non brainy ones and has been delivering a string of hits.

Almost all the superstars in Tollywood are following Salman Khan in this aspect. They are not willing to experiment like Aamir Khan and slowly build their careers. Everyone here wants instant craze. 

Therefore we have far too many Salman Khans and not even one Aamir Khan!
