Release date: 08 June 2012
Director : Karunakaran
Producer : Sravanthi Ravi Kishore
Music Director : G V Prakash Kumar
Starring: Ram, Tamanna, Kona Venkat

Entertainment Boxz Rating : 2.8/5

Karunakaran, who is known for his beautiful love stories, does not impress this time. He has not shown his usual brilliance and his direction could have been a lot better. Production values are rich.
Story :
The story of this film is based on the Hollywood flick ‘Just like Heaven’. Ram (Ram) is a mischievous young lad who spends his time in a carefree way. In order to teach Ram thevalue of money and time, his father Krishna Rao (Shayaji Shinde) packs him off to his friend’svineyard in Europe. Ram finds the going tough and decides to escape from the vineyard. During this process, he comes across Sravanthi (Tamanna), who happens to be the daughter of the Indian High Commissioner to France (Suman).
Sravanthi hates the restricted lifestyle imposed by her father and decides to break free. She teams up with Ram to escape and heads to India successfully. This is where the story takes a twist and Ram is forced to come to terms with the strange events that start happening. Is Sravanthi really who she says she is? Do they have a bond of love that transcends multiple lifetimes? That needs to be seen on the big screen.

Plus Points:
  • Performances of Ram and Tamanna
  • Cinematography
  • Ram energetic dances
  • Comedy Scenes (situational)
Minus Points:
  • Movie running time
  • Certain forced scenes
  • Revenge plot
  • Satya Krishna is wasted and so is Suman.
Verdict:
The movie opens in a completely unexpected manner in the 1980’s and there is a shift from there to the 2012. The first half is entirely filled sweet romantic and comic sequences where Ram is in his usual happy go lucky avatar and Tamanna looks extremely gorgeous all through the movie. While the first half is completely filled with lighter moments, the second half post the interval dramatically shifts into a sentimental, suspense and revenge mode. While this goes down well with certain audiences, it might not be liked by many. In fact more care should have been taken while handling this kind of subject. On the whole the movie comes as a fresh entertainer from Karunakaran’s end.
We can surely give brownie points to the director for the freshness of the story which retained his sensitivity at the same time giving a complete experimental package to the Telugu audience.
My Word: ONE TIME WATCHABLE
