Dark Truths About Film Industry

The film industry is the only place in the world where there is glitz and glamour but there is no second chance. It has some of the most talented individuals but still, all it takes is just one failure to push you back several miles. This is one of the darkest truths that one has to accept when joining the film industry.
How much ever success you may have scored in any craft out of all 24 crafts, if you don’t maintain it, you are gone. To quote an example, ace cinematographer Senthil Kumar was all over the place when the film ‘Arundhati’ scored a hit, after much dabbling, he got ‘Thakita Thakita’ but later on, he is nowhere to be heard.
Same is the case with many award winning music directors and lyricists. Till next film there is guarantee but after that there is no guarantee. In order to keep bagging work, they have to maintain good rapport with directors, producers.
The same applies to directors too. For instance, Boyapati Srinu might have one project after ‘Dammu’ but after that he has to try real hard for subsequent projects. He may get an immediate project but after the dismal performance of ‘Dammu’ his graph has come down. That’s the name of the game folks.
