Appear personally, Court tells Jagan

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has no option but to attend the CBI special court personally on May 28, despite the fact that the summons issued to him clearly said he could send his lawyer to represent his case.
CBI special court judge on Monday clarified that Jagan should attend the court personally to give his version on the charges framed against him by the CBI in connection with his alleged illegal assets case. The words that the accused could attend the court by person or pleader would not be applicable to Jagan, but to others who had already appeared before the court.
Now, it remains to be seen how Jagan would make use of this situation. There were reports that he would come to the court in a huge rally of 40-50,000 supporters and people mobilized from all parts of the state; and in case, he is arrested, they would hold Hyderabad to ransom by creating a law and order problem.
The Congress leaders are already giving hints that “anything might happen on May 28.” Incidentally, the court will give its verdict on the same day on the petition filed by Jagan’s auditor V Vijaya Sai Reddy that the commencement of trial was against the principle of natural justice because the CBI had not completed its investigation as it was yet to submit additional charge sheets
